AI Data Sharing

Simpl does not make personal data available merely because you open the connection flow. You first sign in, review the requested categories and date range, and choose Allow or Deny. Apple Health summary access has a separate checkbox that is off by default.

What ChatGPT may receive after you allow access

• Workout notes: date, title, note text or a short excerpt, pinned status, and last-updated time within the permitted date range.
• Training profile: goals, constraints or injuries you enter, equipment, workout-duration preference, and additional context saved for AI use.
• Apple Health summaries, separately optional: workout date, activity type, start/end time, time zone, duration, distance, and active energy.
• Plan drafts: ChatGPT may send proposed workouts to Simpl for your review.

Purpose

ChatGPT may call approved Simpl tools to answer your workout questions and prepare workout-plan drafts. Simpl does not continuously push your notes to OpenAI.

What is excluded

• Your email, account credentials, friends' data, deleted notes, and public-link settings.
• Apple Health routes, heart-rate samples, source-device identifiers, and detailed biometric samples.
• Workout or Health data outside the date range you authorize.
• Permission to edit or delete completed notes, approve its own proposal, or publish directly to your calendar.

Workout proposals

Plans sent by an AI platform arrive as pending drafts. You can inspect, edit, reschedule, approve, or reject each proposal. Only approved items become ordinary Simpl notes.

Review, change, or withdraw permission

In Simpl, open Settings → ChatGPT Data Access to see the approved scopes, date range, connected time, last access, and policy versions. Choose Review or Change Permissions to authorize again, or Disconnect ChatGPT to prevent future access immediately.

Data already received by OpenAI

Disconnecting stops future Simpl access but does not delete ChatGPT conversations or other information already handled by OpenAI. Manage or delete those conversations in ChatGPT. See the OpenAI Privacy Policy and ChatGPT retention guidance.

Protection and retention

Simpl records consent versions and limited access audit events, validates every request against the current permission and exact OAuth scope, and revokes tokens on disconnect. We require third parties processing personal data for Simpl to provide protections consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
